History of the Hotel
The Clock Tower Inn was built in 1995 and began as Black Bear Inn & Suites. It was purchased by the Roger Muselman family, lifelong residents of Berne in October, 2012. The owners and managers desire to create a place where the genuine care and comfort of our guests is our highest priority. We pledge to provide the finest personal service with an uncompromising level of cleanliness for our guests to enjoy each time they stay at Clock Tower Inn. We look forward to serving you on your next visit to our area.
Come see the plain, simple and beautiful Amish farms of Berne. The Inn sits on the north edge of Berne so guests can experience the peaceful way of rural life. Relax in an Amish-made rocking chair while you can see and hear the soothing sound of horses and buggies trotting by.
What People Are Saying
We had a party of four which checked into your hotel on Saturday, November 24, and we checked out on Sunday, November 25. I was very pleasantly surprised that the front desk clerk who came on duty at 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning had every single breakfast item set up and ready for guests. This level of effort and preparedness is most unusual at any hotel. I have traveled extensively both domestically and internationally for business for over 40 years, and hotels are NEVER fully set up before the time that they open for guests early in the morning, especially on a Sunday morning. The young lady deserves exceptional gratitude for her level of preparedness and politeness. All of the hot items were hot and ready at 6:00 a.m.

We always enjoy our stay at your Inn. It is always clean, cozy, and very welcoming when we open the door. I loved the arrangement of the furnishings, the rocker, the beautiful quilt, the picture of the Amish women. I appreciated the addition of the table by the bed, as I needed the electrical outlet on the lamp for my C-PAP machine. With many other appealing features of your facility — such as the wonderful breakfast, but not only that, we feel we shall return every time we visit the area. Thank You!! The mattresses are one of the best that I have ever slept on. Always clean and comfortable every time I come to stay. I have stayed at the Clock Tower Inn a couple of times a month over the last few years and I know when I get there that I will always get friendly service and a comfortable place to sleep. Until next time…..Thanks, John. December 29, 2018
